What is your favorite tape talker toy or toys? Mine is a toss between Teddy Ruxpin and 2-XL, the tape version, not the 8-track. I probably would like that one too, as I love 8-track tapes, but I just haven't played with that one before. I saw both of these toys as a little kid and I got 2-XL a few years later for Christmas. I got a Teddy Ruxpin that year too,, but something happened to him and he didn't work. I wish I would have just kept him as a bear anyway. Oh well, I have two of them now.

Aww, he's definitely squuzzable. I sleep with mine, but maybe I'm just weird. I love Teddy and I don't want him out of my sight.

I noticed that they're made differently. The one you gave me is a lot fatter than the one I got off eBay. Apparently they gave him more padding, so he's more cuddly. I slept with the one I got from eBay last night and I have to be more careful with him or I can get a tape player in the chest, but the other one is really cuddly. Of course my favorite toy as a little kid was a teddy bear with a speaker, so maybe I'm used to it.

My top 5 tape talkers:
Talking Mother Goose Teddie Talkins (based on looks alone, I have never listened to the programs) Patty Play Pal Gabby Bear Teddy Ruxpin
Honourable mention: Jill
I must add, these toys are very old and fragile. Unless your Teddy Ruxpin is broken, I do not advise sleeping with him. It is very easy to break the jaws. Please be careful.
